An assortment of Foldback binder clips

This unassuming little clip first made an impression on me when I grabbed the end of a finger with one as a child and howled in agony at the surprising force of its jaws. Made from just one piece of pressed metal plate and two pieces of shaped metal rod, I find it remarkably efficient and suitably purposed. The wider it opens, the stronger it holds. They come in a variety of sizes, so finding the right ones to bind different amounts of paperwork is never difficult. The signature folding handles afford it incredible versatility. Pushed forwards they lie flat on the document and remain elegantly parked out of the way, or they can be kept back to hang from hooks when creating signage, or even spread out to stand some stiff card upright for display. Available in an assortment of colours, their elegant and timeless design has often added an unexpected appeal to an otherwise mundane bundle of papers.
