Items of stationary
I often come across things that stop me in me tracks to admire their design. They usually stand out because of some clever yet simple idea used in their device or working. On this occasion, I was inspired by everyday items of stationery that we take for granted. The choices all share something in common. They are classic designs that have stood the test of time, remaining largely unchanged from their original form. Each is optimal in function, minimal in aesthetic, and iconic as a paragon. They are universally recognisable as the quintessential archetypes for the problems they solve; never having been surpassed, so never needing to change. That is impressive.
